This is an in-person and virtual event
The Brownie Hawkeye camera is stylish, easy to use and just fun to shoot with. It was introduced in 1949 and ushered in a golden age of photography. In this workshop, we’ll first get together online for a short class to go over some of the joys and challenges of shooting with such a simple camera.
A couple of days later we’ll meet on location to shoot with a refurbished Brownie Hawkeye and a specially modified roll of 120 film. There are only 12 photos on a roll, so this will be a different experience for most! Fewer frames can actually lead to greater creativity.
When we meet back online a few days later, the instructor will go over scans of everyone’s film. After the class, you’ll receive your processed film, digital scan, and a digital contact sheet.
This workshop is the perfect activity to do with kids, friends or spouses!
