The G. William Jones Film & Video Collection at SMU’s Hamon Arts Library is one of the largest film archives in Texas. Its thousands of holdings include the historic Tyler, Texas Black Film Collection, the Pre-Nickelodeon Collection with films by Thomas Edison, the Gene Autry Collection, and ̓60s and ̓70s news footage from WFAA and KRLD in Dallas. Join us for a virtual tour of Jones Collection highlights with Moving Image Curator Jeremy Spracklen and Curatorial Assistant Scott Martin. The tour is being offered as part of SMU’s 6th Annual World Languages and Literatures International Film Festival, RESISTANCE, taking place virtually from February 16 to March 25, 2021.
