{neighborhood} today is announcing that they are bringing art shows back for 2021 with a huge cast of group shows for their yearly calendar. The first show is filled with an amazing lineup of artists for a very special show honoring Black History Month. “Tellin’ Our Own Story” is the name of the show, that is taken from a fitting Stacey Abrams quote. This is so reminiscent to another quote by the late John Lewis, “The movement without storytelling, is like birds without wings.”

Starting February 1st this incredible show will feature a lineup of six badass females from DFW, and will run until February 28th 2021. The opening reception will be on Saturday February 6th, and several of the artists will be present for the opening.

The opening will be a socially distanced, very limited engagement, and the event will be by appointment only. There will be 3 time slots available for 10 guests each for the Saturday opening; 3pm, 4pm, and 5pm. Time slots will be for one hour only. Temperature checks will be given at the door, and all guests will be required to wear masks inside the event. Social distancing will be highly suggested. {neighborhood} has recently moved their location from Bishop Arts District to the North Design District, and showcases art and furniture from Blu Dot and Gus* Modern in their new 8,000 sqft showroom + gallery. {neighborhood} is located at 2532 Converse Street, Dallas, Texas.
