ALL-FREE Admission 37th Annual KidFilm Family Festival

The USA Film Festival/Dallas will present the (in-theater) 37th Annual KidFilm Family Festival on Saturday, January 23 & Sunday, January 24, 2021 at the Angelika Film Center Dallas.  All programs are FREE to the community.  
This year, KidFilm celebrates diversity, equality, empowerment, family and friendship, and includes films that feature different cultures, historical figures, and environmental themes.  The schedule of films includes magical journeys celebrating courage, perseverance and self-reliance, along with other important educational lessons in a program featuring live-action and animated films for audiences of any age.
Highlights of this year’s program include:
NEW ANIMATED FEATURE FILMS to be presented include Vic the Viking: The Magic Sword by Éric Cazes and Sherlock Holmes and the Great Escape by Matthew Chow and Yuen Kin.
NEW LIVE-ACTION FEATURE FILMS to be presented include Mike Disa's charming Dolphin Island, starring Peter Woodward and Tyler Jade Nixon; Lezlie Wade's empowering musical about Amelia Earhart, Dead Reckoning; Anuja Ganpule-Sheorey's adventurous The Candle & the Curse; Ngo The Chau's fantastical The Witch Princess; and Stare Yildirim's inspiring My Name is Batlir, Not Butler
EDUCATIONAL & FUN SHORT FILMS Celebrate learning remotely in a theater setting!  TEKS-based, character building, and environmentally friendly short films to be presented include: four book-based films adapted for the screen by Weston Woods Studios -- All Because You Matter by Tami Charles, Say Something! by Peter H. Reynolds, Grace for President by Kelly DiPucchio, and Math Curse by Jon Scieszka.  Additional independently-made, educational short films include Marc Bennett's book-based film The Tattooed Torah (narrated by Ed Asner), Shaelyn Johnston's The Healing Dance, Rickey Boyd's Planet Blue: Journey to Eco (featuring an appearance from NBA star Nikola Vucevic), and Denis Thomopoulos' Cool the Climate!.
NEW SHORT FILM PRESENTATIONS of sixteen live-action and animated short films from around the world including works from Brazil, Canada, Denmark, Italy, UK and USA.

TICKET INFORMATION

  • Tickets are FREE for all ages; but must be reserved in advance via telephone by calling the Festival office at 214-821-6300 (starting January 18th).
  • No tickets will be available at the theater door; Tickets will be available via advance telephone reservations ONLY.  (No walk-ups allowed.) 
  • Ticket Request Line will OPEN 10:30am-5:00pm Monday-Friday, January 18-22, 2021. 

SEATING & SAFETY PROTOCOLS

  • Facemasks are required for all guests.
  • Seating for all programs will be limited to 25% of auditorium capacity.
  • Social distancing seating will be in place.
