As with all things 2020, Global Village Market is going to look a bit differently this year at Greenland Hills United Methodist Church. For the past 13 years, our annual holiday market has benefitted dozens of charities with a community gathering that involves 100+ volunteers. We have raised almost $393,000 during the first weekend of November since the debut market in 2007.
So we didn’t want to let a pandemic stop us — change us, yes, but not stop us.
Here’s how Global Village Market will look in its 14th year:• Virtual Global Village Market, Nov 7 & 8: You can donate to your favorite Market charities and shop from those offering online purchases. Please visit https://www.greenlandhills.org/global-village for a list of 26 non-profits participating in the Virtual Market.• In-person Global Village Trunk Sale, Saturday, Nov. 7: You can purchase your favorite market items and pick up orders from a few vendors offering online ordering and in-person pickup in the church parking lot (5835 Penrose Ave., Dallas) from 1-4 pm on Saturday, Nov. 7. Adults only. Masks and social distancing required. All outside. No-touch shopping. Vendors will be on the Delmar-side of the parking lot at Greenland Hills UMC in the M Streets.
