To Be Determined juxtaposes works from many centuries, media, and cultures to trace how the significance of art can shift when presented in new contexts and as viewers make personal connections. The exhibition brings together work from every curatorial department—including iconic works in the collection, recent acquisitions, and newly commissioned paintings—in evocative groupings that evoke notions of belonging, determination, and resilience.
