The worst of the summer heat is fading, which means that getting outside for a break becomes more important than ever. Combining outdoor activities with carnivorous plants, the Texas Triffid Ranch continues its series of porch sales of beginner carnivores from around the world, for both indoor and outdoor plant needs. Starting at 7:00 am and ending at noon, the Triffid Ranch Porch Sales offer examples of Venus flytraps, sundews, butterworts, bladderworts, triggerplants, and pitcher plants (North American, Asian, and Australian) for thone seeking a new horticultural challenge. Admission is free. (Please note that a Porch Sale is not scheduled for September 27: the whole gallery will be at the NARBC reptile and amphibian show in Arlington that weekend.)
