Galaxy Theatres at Grandscape is celebrating its grand opening with improved safety protocols, providing guests an upscale movie-going experience they can enjoy with confidence.
Galaxy Theatres serves as an anchor of Grandscape’s entertainment district, developed by Nebraska Furniture Mart Inc., a Berkshire Hathaway company. The 85,000-square-foot theatre includes 15 auditoriums, all with the latest Sony capabilities including 4K laser digital cinema projectors, combining clarity, brightness, color and contrast for the ultimate in picture quality. Galaxy at Grandscape has been designed to the highest standard boasting a uniquely dramatic lobby design, and amenities including reclining chairs in all auditoriums.
Part of NATO’s CinemaSafe, protocols developed by industry experts in consultation with leading epidemiologists which often go above and beyond state requirements, Grandscape will display the CinemaSafe symbol prominently throughout the property so guests can be assured of the commitment to their health and safety. Grandscape’s new protocols will include staff temperature checks, a site-wide mask mandate, and new social distancing guidelines. Staff has received additional training on housekeeping and physical distancing, and will be required to complete “Fit for Duty” forms prior to each shift. Galaxy Theatres has also installed new, higher rated air filters, air scrubber equipment in the ventilation systems, and placed additional air purifiers throughout the lobby and other public areas.

Tickets are currently on sale for guests to pre-book their showing, and movies playing will include Tenet, The New Mutants, Unhinged, and a special 10-year anniversary re-release of Inception. Galaxy at Grandscape will also be offering guests the opportunity to host their own Private Screening for $99 and up to 20 people total.
Sony Digital Cinema
An immersive Sony Digital Cinema™ auditorium, the first in Texas, serves as the heart of the Galaxy Theatre and features more than 250 stadium-style full-power reclining seats. Sony Digital Cinema™ is a heightened experience that features Sony’s industry-leading, dual-laser projections systems along with dynamic sound through a Dolby Atmos® sound system.
DFX Auditorium
Galaxy at Grandscape also features another large-scale DFX Auditorium and an immersive Dolby Atmos® sound system that flows all around the guest offering a powerful experience. Additionally, the auditorium features luxurious reclining lounge chairs and the latest Dual Laser Projectors system from Sony with an ultra-high gain screen, incorporating a new 3D reflectance technology that allows stunning display of 3D films.
Food and Beverage
The theater offers an extended food menu featuring appetizers, entrees, pizza and a full-service bar offering handcrafted cocktails created by their mixologist, beer and wine. Additionally, traditional movie fare is available, including premium Orville Redenbacher popcorn popped in O’Dell’s coconut oil and topped with real butter.
The Theatre will boast themed specialty cocktails with names like Benny The Jet, Field of Dreams, Galaxy Old Fashion, MS Bond Tini, Mezcal You Back, Galaxy Mule and more.
