The Virtual Open Mic Night Showdown is a weekly playlist featuring you - musicians, poets, comedians, dancers and more. The idea is to make quick, raw videos to give us the feel of a real Open Mic but to also show what performers of all types are doing during the pandemic. Don't worry too much about the perfect video or sound. It should feel like you're at home with friends, not like you're performing in a stadium.. Most of us are using our phones even though we have recording equipment. I don't want videos of your band on stage from 2019. It was probably awesome but let's begin something new: A Virtual Open Mic.
The playlist is 1st come/1st played - so the earlier you send your videos the better (hint: don't wait until Wednesday). The Virtual Open Mic Playlist is live on YouTube at 7pm every Weds and will be sent to everyone in our newsletter as well as promoted on all our social media pages. That's more people watching you on a Weds night than any in-person Open Mic!

RULES:
1. 5 Minute, Recent Video - Uploaded within a week of playlist date (covers/originals ok). Quick and raw like a live Open Mic. Should feel like you're performing for friends, not in a stadium.
2. Videos are 1st come/1st played and due by 12 pm (noon) Weds
*hint: don't wait for Weds
3. No Violent Language - kids are also watching/performing
