Virtual format is flexible schedule: Pick your class time but makeup in another with like ages as needed
Our virtual homeschool art program is the perfect red to your green, yellow to your purple, orange to your blue. In other words, the perfect complement to your rigorous academic lineup.
Conveniently offered during the school day, homeschool students are exposed to specific vocabulary and broad concepts. We use official art terms like LINE, SPACE, COLOR, TEXTURE and VALUE to get specific about and deepen our critical thinking skills while we make creative works. History and humanities, math, music, and science are inevitably addressed as we learn from art through all spaces and times. Not to mention expressing our feelings and making friends!
Classes will remain virtual until further notice. We encourage pods and families to take advantage of our one screen group pricing (register one normal and the rest as siblings). If virtual is not your thing, we are happy to put together supplies and some suggestions for at home creativity. We will also begin offering outdoor, private pod instruction, and physically distant family classes in October. Stay tuned and thank you for your support! If you have a class request, please let us know.
Virtual lessons How To: For Kinder & Studio Kids formats, your Class Kit includes the lesson plan and surfaces for each week. Parents should make space for art making and have clean up supplies like hand wipes and napkins near-by. After you register, a link to your ZOOM classroom will be sent along with a welcome email that includes more information as well as a time to arrange kit pick-up.
Items not included in your kit you'll need are a pencil, paintbrushes, scissors, glue, water jar/basin, color dry drawing medium (crayon/colored pencil/marker), apron, paper towel. If you need any of these or other art supply items, please shop with us in Oak Cliff, by phone or online. We prepare orders everyday and are happy to find you just what you need.
Drawing class for all ages is a looser format, wherein students will be invited to work with materials they have at home. As our series progresses, Ms. Kayli will suggest new materials to buy and try. The bare minimum to get started is paper and pencil.
