Interchanging Lines, Constructing Home

Art Room presents Interchanging Lines, Constructing Home, which features a compelling group of artworks in a variety of media that challenge the idea of the nuclear home, explore their separation from family created by political discourse, and present their new (re)construction or vision of home. The exhibition showcases work by Doug Baulos, Molly Valentine Dierks, Margaret Hull, Liz Joerner, Mary Estep Morgan, Claire Kennedy, Romulo Martinez, Kay Seedig, Jae-Eun Suh, and Narong Tintamusik. The virtual show runs from July 1 through August 8, 2020.

Interchanging Lines, Constructing Home was juried and curated by MFA students in the College of Visual Arts and Design at the University of North Texas enrolled in the spring 2020 Graduate Professional Practice course taught by O. Gustavo Plascencia. Jurors came from many different backgrounds and work in a wide range of media. Located in Denton, TX, UNT offers a cross-disciplinary Master of Fine Art Program with nationally exhibiting artists. Art Room is pleased to continue to collaborate with MFA graduate students Shellye Tow, Jacob Philips, and Ben Statser for the duration of the exhibition
