Not The Oak Cliff Film Festival

Join Not The OCFF for short films and medium conversations at a virtual event that’s absolutely not a film festival.
The Oak Cliff Film Festival will not occur during its previously announced dates of June 4-7th 2020 due to concerns about public safety and crowd gatherings related to COVID-19. However, it will be replaced by an evening of short film and virtual togetherness compiled of a shorts program from OCFF alumni filmmakers followed by a live-streamed filmmaker discussion.
Everyone is invited, but no one can come. Because it's online. Grab your mouse and popcorn and tune in on Thursday, June 4th at 8:00 PM (also, it’s free!)
The evening’s program will include Jocelyn DeBoer and Dawn Luebbe’s 2015 short film GREENER GRASS (the GREENER GRASS feature was the opening night film at OCFF 2019), Dustin Guy Defa’s 2014 short film PERSON TO PERSON (the feature version of PERSON TO PERSON screened at OCFF 2017), Sarah Adina Smith’s 2009 short THE SIRENS (which inspired her OCFF 2015 feature THE MIDNIGHT SWIM), and Brett Whitcomb and Bradford Thomason’s 2019 documentary short LOST WEEKEND. The post-screening discussion will be co-moderated by filmmaker David Lowery (A GHOST STORY, THE GREEN KNIGHT). Additional bonus shorts to be announced!
Filmmakers who had previously submitted their films to the 2020 Oak Cliff Film Festival via Film Freeway have been given the option of full submission fee refund, submission deferment for the 2021 Oak Cliff Film Festival, or to donate their submission fee to the 501(c)(3) Oak Cliff Film Society. OCFF 2020 VIP Badgeholders have been given the same option.
Although we are saddened to not be able to present our full, fun-filled program this year, the Oak Cliff Film Festival looks forward to coming back in 2021 for our 10th anniversary of celebrating film and the community of Oak Cliff.
