Hide

Hide, a solo exhibition by Ashley Whitt, explores the repression of past experiences and memories as a means of survival. These works are an attempt to mend, obscure, and protect the artist from her past. Whitt utilizes a variety of media including GIFs/videos displayed on TV screens, large-scale photographs on adhesive wall fabric, Polaroids, and sculptural handmade books. Hide is on view at 500X Gallery from March 14 through April 4, 2020.
