# Mandi

Genre: Jazz, Soul and Gospel

An eclectic mix of jazz, soul and gospel in a contralto voice, describesvocal style of Dallas native Amanda E. Maxfield, more commonly known as “Mandi”. Born June 12, 1984 to the parentage of Debbie Robinson and Clifton W. Maxfield, Mandi has been singing as long as she could talk. Coming from a very musical background, she sat under her father, a minister of music and learned to play piano at the age of six. She furthered her education of music graduating from Skyline career and Development center and receiving a choir scholarship from Texas A&M University-Commerce. In 2005 and more recently 2010, she was blessed with the opportunity to use her gift touring Europe. The fourteen city tour of Italy included cities, such as Assisi, Milan, Venice, Cosenza and Rome. She has been blessed to sing behind many Dallas artists and even open up for gospel superstars Kierra “KiKi” Sheard, James Fortune and FIYA, Minon Bolton, Crystal Aikin. Singing background vocals for Lisa McClendon, Crystal Rucker, Earnest Pugh, Andrea Helms, Amber Bullock, Joshua Rogers and amazing Dallas/Ft. Worth artists, James Henderson, Shy Speaks, Norris J, Brennen “Nerdboi” Johnson, Terrance Mackey, Nathan Myers, Jai’Sun Williams and many more. She currently serves as the praise and worship leader for People’s Missionary Baptist church and the female lead singer of Dallas’ own Gino “Lockjohnson” Iglehart and The Ivory Jean Band. Amanda aspires to be a great mortician/funeral director like her father and currently works as the Staff Manager for their family business, Peoples Funeral Home and Chapel in Denton, TX. She continues to pursue her passion of music singing both lead and background all over the Metroplex, hoping to inspire others through her music.
