An hour of music by Italian composers, from the early music of Paganini to romantic Respighi (Ancient Airs and Dances) to Italian-American Henry Mancini. Learn how Rachmaninoff was inspired by Paganini when he composed his piano concerto "Variations On a Theme of Paganini," and hear the most famous variations. Our tenors Don O'Neal LeBlanc and Sergio Cepeda, will join us, singing the greatest hits of Puccini and Rossini opera, including a Verdi aria heard in 18 different movies. (We’ll let you know which!) Pianist Dr. Heejng Kang, violinists LeeAnne Chenoweth and Timothy Angel, plus cellist Sara Birnbaum Hood.
