Texas State Banjo, Mandolin, & Guitar Championships


Wyndham Garden Dallas North Hotel

Come watch some of the fastest and best banjo players, mandolin players, and flatpick guitar players compete to find out who is the best in Texas!  The Texas State Championship contests are held in conjunction with the Bluegrass Heritage Festival on May 1-3 at the Wyndham Garden in Farmers Branch.  The contests are free to watch and require no ticket for entry. 
  First place prize money is $500 plus a confirmed, paid entry to the National Championships in Winfield and a ticket to the Walnut Valley Festival!  You must be a Texas resident and to compete. Discounted room rates are available at the Wyndham for contestants and attendees.
