Artist Talk: Misty Keasler
6:30 p.m., Meet at the Flora Street Guest Services Desk
Texas artist Misty Keasler will talk about her work in the new exhibition For a Dreamer of Houses

Late Night Talk: Made in Texas 
7 p.m., Horchow Auditorium
Join Texas-based artists, chefs, musicians, and film historians for a series of short talks about the defining moments and figures of Texas culture. The event features film historian John Slate, artist Geoff Winningham, writer Michalene Busico, and musician Roger Boykin.

Artist Demo: Paper Sculpture
7–9:30 p.m., Art Studio I
Learn more about paper art with sculptor Delaney Smith and the Dallas-based arts organization Make Art with Purpose. Watch Smith create a new sculpture and talk to her about her work. 

Performance and Artist Talk with Sean Miller
7:30 p.m., C3 Theater
Experience a unique performance by Dallas artist Sean Miller. Miller works with video, live media, performance, and sound, focusing on themes of embodiment, synesthetic relationships, and living geology. After the performance, Miller will discuss his process and answer your questions.

Acompaña a Cecilia Torres, Educadora en Prácticas McDermott del DMA, para un recorrido de la nueva instalación en el Centro para Conexiones Creativas del DMA. Mi|gración toma objetos de las colecciones globales del DMA para explorar el papel del arte en documentar las experiencias de migración a lo largo de los siglos y por todo el mundo.

Artist Talk: Annette Lawrence

Texas artist Annette Lawrence will talk about her work in the new exhibition For a Dreamer of Houses.

Late Night Film: Jaddoland 
9 p.m., Horchow Auditorium
Jaddoland explores the meaning of home and the search for belonging across generations. When the filmmaker returns to her hometown in the Texas Panhandle to visit her mother, an artist from Iraq, she turns her lens on her mother’s increasingly isolated life, as well as on the beauty and solace that emerge through her creative process. This film is not rated (2018, 90 min.). 

Insomniac Tour: My|Gration
10 p.m., Meet at the main Guest Services Desk 
Join DMA Director of Community Engagement Mary Ann Bonet for a tour of the new installation in the DMA’s Center for Creative Connections. My|Gration draws objects from the DMA’s global collection to explore the role of art in documenting experiences of migration throughout the centuries and around the world.
