Mount Vernon Music - From the Caucasus to the Caspian Sea

Steinway Hall - Fort Worth

Mount Vernon Music hosts award-winning flutist Mehrdad Gholami in a musical exploration of cultures at the convergence of Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. In a program titled “From the Caucasus to the Caspian Sea,” the audience will savor the experience of music largely unknown to Western audiences, by composers from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Iran, Georgia, Russia, and Turkmenistan. Gholami recently completed his Doctor of Musical Arts degree at TCU, and next to a busy performance schedule works with The Cliburn’s “Cliburn in the Classroom” educational program. Performing with Gholami will be Evan Mitchell, piano; Mark Miller, violin; Zachary Mansell, cello.
