Come join Christine as she introduces the memoir that she has waited most of her life to write: the story of growing up with a mentally-ill mother and how the trauma she experienced in her childhood shaped her later life. But most importantly, her memoir is a story of how she overcame her trauma. It is her hope that her journey will help others who have faced childhood trauma learn how they, too, can move beyond it. The event will begin with a Happy Hour reception at 6 p.m. in Vickrey Hall, followed by a reading a 7 p.m. in the church sanctuary. Following this, there will be a brief question and answer period and book signing.
