Two famed authors are coming to the Texas Woman’s University campus in Denton to discuss the power of books to inspire hope and help communities fight for social justice.
New York Times bestselling author Angie Thomas, whose book, “The Hate U Give,” was turned into a major motion picture, and TWU alumna Rose Brock, an award-winning author and editor who co-founded the North Texas Teen Book Festival, will share their thoughts and expertise on the topic during the university’s upcoming Jamison Lecture. This year’s event takes place at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 5 inside the new Student Union at Hubbard Hall on the Denton campus.
