Our winter Spectrum East concert begins with one of Bach’s magnificent solo cello suites—it’s so big, it gets its own half of the program! We will also feature a pair of hauntingly beautiful rhapsodies for oboe, viola and piano by American composer Charles Martin Loeffler, based on two expressive poems by Maurice Rollinat. And in honor of Valentine’s Day, we will conclude with fiery music from the master of the tango, Astor Piazzolla. You’ll definitely feel the passion!
