Sam Villavert is a Dallas-based artist who fuses together smooth, honest lyrics with an understated optimistic charm and a beat you can't help but move to.
Having been in different kinds of bands in the local DFW scene (Sealion, Son of Stan), she is no stranger to making like a chameleon and adapting to her surroundings. Most days, she enjoys the challenge that diversifying her sounds gives her. It was only a matter of time before she'd give her solo work the same attention.
If you enjoy playfully organic vocals backed by instrumentation that complements, but never steals the spotlight, foundations of the late 70s to early 80s Soul Train performers (Chaka Khan, Patrice Rushen, and Minnie Riperton), and the endless bounds of experimentation of the latest alternative RnB artists (Solange, Janet Jackson), her music might be what you're looking for.

Gabriel Jordan is best known for his contributions as singer/writer for the Dallas-based Alt Rock/R&B outfit Duo Contra. Falling off the circuit's radar in 2017, he returns as oliver taupe.
