Join us for an inspirational and creative expression of the holiday spirit and human experience through dance. Our Holiday Concert, Inspired Voices, features four premiere works. Co-Director Carter Alexander debuts a ballet to the sweeping choral work, Oratorio de Noël by Camille Saint Saëns, often described as a musical enhancement to the words of the Christmas Story. Ballet Dallas will perform the work with the Youth Ballet Ensemble of the School of CBD. Silas Farley is currently a company dancer with NYCB and has set a moving classical ballet to music by Orthodox composer Arvo Part. Local choreographer Lauren Gonzales’ new work provides dancers a voice through physical expression to be seen as both artists and humans. And finally, guest choreographer Takia Hopson’s new work, set to a neoclassical score, explores individuality within a cohesive group. Through movement and colorful visual cues, her work shows the power of an individual voice. Tickets on-sale now and discounts are available for youth and senior citizens.
