Swirling skirts, painted faces, decorated altars, thoughtful remembrances. These are the vibrant celebrations of the dead by the living during Dia De Los Muertos. With elaborately decorated ofrendas laden with offerings to ancestors, living families gather to celebrate the dead through festive eating and drinking, lively dancing, and otherworldly singing.
From mystical legends to celebratory rituals, Verdigris Ensemble, in collaboration with Anita N. Martinez Ballet Folklorico and cultural artist Ofelia Faz-Garza, opens a portal into the spirit world to celebrate with our ancestors. Known for their “beautiful staging” and “mesmerizing” costumes (TheaterJones), Anita N. Martinez Ballet Folklorico evokes our ancestors through original choreography and movement. Cultural artist Ofelia Faz-Garza honors the dead through colorful ofrendas.

MEET US PERSONALLY - at the exclusive pre-concert VIP reception on November 2, featuring traditional Dia De Los Muertos bites and wine.
DEDICATE A MARIGOLD - to a deceased loved one and lay it personally on our community ofrenda, along with any photos and memories that you bring with you. You may take the marigold and memorabilia with you after the performance or leave it on the ofrenda for the duration of the project. ALL PROCEEDS SPONSOR TICKETS FOR LOCAL STUDENTS AND FAMILIES TO ATTEND DIA DE LOS MUERTOS PERFORMANCES.
