Rich Cali is a lover of the outdoors, and this love is transparent in his work and use of materials. He loves to paint with natural inks/paints, creating masterpieces on found paper and old maps. This combination gives the work a certain timeless quality that is clearly definable. Rich is a kind soul who is not only an amazing artist, but a wonderful musician, bartender, and friend to everyone he meets. Originally from New Jersey, we first met Rich through the Webb Gallery and began to notice his work around Dallas and Austin, where he had most recently lived. He has since moved to Kingston, NY where he spends lots of his time outdoors and when he is not working or painting is often making plans for travels to see the country and enjoy it's natural beauty.
