Civil Discourse Series: Law Enforcement and Communities of Color in DFW

Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum

PRESENTED BY THE MEADOWS FOUNDATION

Join us for a conversation about the relationship between local law enforcement and communities of color. Panelists will discuss the current state of these relations, racial profiling, community policing, and how to build trust between these groups in today’s climate.

Panelists include:

Will D. Johnson, Police Chief, Arlington Police Department

Sara Mokuria, Co-Founder of Mothers Against Police Brutality and Associate Director for Leadership Initiatives with The Institute for Urban Policy Research at the University of Texas at Dallas

Dr. Brian Williams, trauma surgeon and immediate past Chair of the Dallas Citizens Police Review Board.

This panel will be moderated by Cassandra Jaramillo, reporter for The Dallas Morning News.

The Civil Discourse Series presents multiple sides of a thought-provoking topic through respectful discussion. For each event, the Museum convenes a panel of subject matter experts to represent their unique perspectives on an issue related to human and civil rights.
