We invite you to attend our next Gilbert Lecture of the academic year where the great great great granddaughter of Charles and Catherine Dickens, Lucinda Dickens Hawksley, will be speaking about Charles Dickens’s parents, siblings, children and descendants. Abstract: Come and discover the world of the Dickens family - musicians, actors, artists, writers and inveterate liars! Lucinda Dickens Hawksley will talk about Charles Dickens’s parents, siblings, children and descendants. Meet the members of the author's family who inspired his characters, learn about those who travelled the world and discover the fascinating lives of the less well known members of the family.
Bio: Lucinda Dickens Hawksley is an author, broadcaster and lecturer, and a great great great granddaughter of Charles and Catherine Dickens. She is based in London, England, where she is a Patron of the Charles Dickens Museum. Lucinda is the author of more than 20 books on art history, biography, and the world of Charles Dickens.
