There are several reasons why you should check out the Dallas Theater Center’s new musical, Sarah, Plain and Tall:
- It’s the world premiere adaptation of Patricia MacLachlan’ Newbery Award-winning novel.
- Dallas Morning News Theater Critic Lawson Taitte says, “The production, directed by Joe Calarco, is deluxe top to bottom. Major theaters around the country will want to do this show, and they’ll be fortunate if they can cast it this precisely and design it this well.”
- And, it’s the DTC’s last show in the Kalita Humphreys Theater before moving into its swank new digs in the Dallas Center for the Performing Art.
If that has whet your whistle for the show, this is your lucky day. I’ve got family four packs for Saturday night’s performance for the first two people to e-mail me ([email protected]). Send along a phone number that you can be reached at, too, as the box office will give you a call to confirm your tickets. If you’re not one of the first two e-mailers, don’t worry — KERA members get 10 percent of individual tickets for the show. You are a KERA member, aren’t you? (If not, this link’s for you.)
