Cara Mia Theatre Company presents the Dallas premiere of “Yemaya’s Belly.” The play is written by Quiara Alegría Hudes, Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright for “Water by the Spoonful” and book writer for Lin-Manuel Miranda’s “In the Heights.” In “Yemaya’s Belly,” a young Cuban boy’s life is forever changed with his first sip of a cold Coca-Cola. After that first refreshing taste of carbonated heaven, the boy decides to leave his home behind and make his way to the U.S. where he hopes to live the American Dream and meet the “President of America.” Performances will be at the Latino Cultural Center, March 4-9. Enter this Big Deal for a chance to win a pair tickets to the March 5, 2:30 performance.
