After a yearlong hiatus, Upstart Productions is back. The theater group is marking its return with the award-winning Off-Broadway play The Aliens. Written by Annie Baker, The Aliens premiered in New York and won an Obie Award for Best New American Play. AT&T Performing Arts Center’s David Denson is the guest-director for the production, which includes local up-and-coming actors Joey Folsom, Tim Maher and Justin Duncan.
Two Big Deal winners will receive a pair of tickets to the show and admission to “Second Act,” the cast after-party with music provided by Markdown Madness, who coincidentally have also been known, on-again/off-again, as The Aliens. Tickets are good for opening night, Aug. 8, at the Magnolia Lounge in Fair Park.
Make sure you are an Art&Seek subscriber first, then sign up for this Big Deal and our other Deal this week – tickets to see Miss Saigon at Casa Mañana.
