The local jazz band the Singapore Slingers are taking the stage with special guests White Ghost Shivers at the Kessler on Friday, August 31.
The Singapore Slingers were founded in April of 2008 and specialize in the music of the early 20th century. True to the era they represent, the band uses vintage arrangements from composers such as Tilzer, Warren, Rogers and Hart. Along with preserving music history, every Slingers show is guaranteed to be fun and upbeat.
White Ghost Shivers are a local favorite in Austin, bringing a blend of Hokum Blues, Hillbilly Swing, country and Hot Jazz to their 1930s style.
Two lucky Big Deal Winners will receive tickets to see the Singapore Slingers with special guest White Ghost Shivers at the Kessler on Aug. 31 at 8:30 p.m.
