Stage West’s upcoming play centers around a group of misfits in a polar region of the world. No, not the group of toys. “The Royal Society of Antartica,” tells the story of a small band of men and women living and working at the bottom of the world and how easy it is to get lost there. New York writer Mat Smart wrote the touching and quirky play. The inspiration for the play came from Smart’s real life gig as a janitor at McMurdo Station in Antarctica. Enter this Big Deal to see the tragicomic show on Saturday, September 2, at 8 p.m., at Stage West.
Be sure you take the time now to check out our other Big Deal this week – passes to see the advanced screening of “The Glass Castle” at AMC Northpark 15.
