It’s unlikely that General Robert E. Lee, commander of the Confederate Army, could ever have imagined that his final actions during the Civil War would unfold onstage in dramatic counterpoint to the love struggles of a couple 150 years in the future. But that’s precisely what “The Road to Appomattox” imagines. The Contemporary Theatre of Dallas‘ latest production cleverly weaves General Lee’s retreat following the Battle of Gettysburg with the modern-day challenges of a couple following his trail. In this entertaining and moving drama, both parties — past and present — face decisions that will forever choose the fate of a general, a marriage and the nation. Win this Big Deal and receive a pair of tickets for the April 29 performance. You’ll also be invited to stay after the show for an opening night reception and meet the cast session.

For now, be sure you stick around to sign up for our other Big Deals. Enter for a chance to win tickets to Chamber Music International’s Concert 6: An Evening with Two Jons at Dallas City Performance Hall or to see The Fab Four: The Ultimate Tribute at Allen Event Center.
