The Big Deal: ‘An Evening Of Gershwin’ With The Richardson Symphony Orchestra

by Zoee Acosta 28 Mar 2018 8:30 AM

The Richardson Symphony Orchestra presents “An Evening of Gershwin” – an entire Gershwin program with international flare. The American classic “Rhapsody in Blue” is joined with two pieces inspired by Gershwin’s international travels, the “Cuban Overture” and “An American in Paris.” The dazzling piano solo in the “Rhapsody in Blue” is one of the most famous in the modern repertoire and will be played by the fiery pianist Gustavo Romero, a Dallas-based performer of international acclaim. The program will also include the “Overture” from Gershwin’s opera “Porgy and Bess.”  Enter for a chance to take your One and Only, The Man you Love, or your sunny Funny Face to the Saturday, April 7, performance at the Eisemann Center for Performing Arts in Richardson.
