This weekend, clubs and presenters around the Dallas area are celebrating Jazz Week. They hope it’ll become a tradition during April, which is national jazz appreciation month.
To help you get into the swing, this week’s Big Deal is a pair of tickets to the opening festivities Friday night, featuring a performance by the Quamon Fowler Quartet and a listening event. The evening is sponsored by Uptown Jazz Dallas and you can check out what they’re up to here. Not only is it kicking off a new week of jazz, it’s also turning the Brazos Room at Gilleys into “Jazz Up Dallas,” an official venue of the festival week.
