It’s Christmas Eve and Eb Scroo is seeking to snuff out the season’s cheer by demanding all debts owed him be satisfied before nightfall. Facing imprisonment, a Christmas without presents and a feast, the residents are desperate. In this urban spin of Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, the ghosts and characters are icons of Black culture performing gospel, R&B, and even reggae songs. Enter this Big Deal for a chance to see Jubilee Theatre reimagine this Christmas classic in “If Scrooge Was a Brother” running through December 22. Winning pair of tickets are good for the December 14 performance.
And if the Spirit of Christmas Present still moves to celebrate the season then be sure to sign up for our other Big Deal, tickets to see the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra present Holiday Swing with Byron Stripling. Or take in the stunning exhibition at the Meadows Museum, “El Greco, Goya, and a Taste for Spain: Highlights from The Bowes Museum.“
Please note: Only Art&Seek newsletter subscribers are eligible for the Big Deal. If you are not already a subscriber, you’ll want to sign up here for the newsletter first before signing up below. Winners will be selected by random drawing on Friday and will be notified by email. If the winner does not respond within 24 hours after notification, or cannot make the specified performance date, or declines the prize, another winner will be randomly chosen.
UPDATE: We have our winners. Thanks for playing. You can still find ticket information on this event at Art&Seek.
