In Fort Worth, Stage West will present the regional premiere of Jeffrey Hatcher’s “Holmes & Watson.” This inspired adaptation, with characters from Arthur Conan Doyle’s beloved Sherlock Holmes series, flips the Holmes-Watson paradigm on its end. Here, Dr. Watson is not merely an assistant to Holmes but the sole detective in the case. The story takes place three years after Holmes’ mysterious death at the hands of criminal mastermind, Professor James Moriarty. Watson is called out to a remote asylum to investigate three inmates – all of whom claim to be the dead Sherlock Holmes. Win this Big Deal and follow along with Watson as he uncovers what really happened in that fateful confrontation between his friend and Moriarty. “Holmes & Watson” runs May 30 through June 30 at Stage West.
