The Big Deal: Holidays At The Heard Natural Science Museum & Wildlife Sanctuary

by Gila Espinoza 12 Dec 2018 2:00 AM

Do you like to bring nature into everything you do – even the holidays? Then you and yours should take a hike to the Heard Natural Science Museum and Wildlife Sanctuary in McKinney for Holidays at the Heard. This weekend, December 14 and 15, from 6:30-9 p.m., guests will see lights and holiday décor along a half mile Heard nature trail. In keeping with the Heard’s role as a nature preserve, this light display is designed to enhance, rather than overpower, the sanctuary’s natural beauty. Children and the young at heart will enjoy the opportunity to take a photo with Father Christmas and Mother Nature in a festive setting. Hot beverages and treats will be available for purchase. Family-friendly entertainment will complement the holiday atmosphere. Local musicians will delight audiences with live holiday music in the Heard outdoor amphitheater. Please note that the dinosaurs will not be animated during the two-day event.

For more family holiday adventure be sure to sign up for our other Big Deal for the week – tickets to see Dallas Children’s Theater present “Magic Tree House’s Holiday Musical: A Ghost Tale for Mr. Dickens” at the Rosewood Center for Family Arts in Dallas.

Please note: Only Art&Seek newsletter subscribers are eligible for the Big Deal. If you’re not yet receiving our weekly emails then you’re missing out! You’ll want to take care of that first here before you sign up below. Winners will be selected by random drawing on Friday and will be notified by email. If the winner does not respond within 24 hours after notification, or cannot make the specified performance date, or declines the prize, another winner will be randomly chosen.

UPDATE: We have our winners. Thank you for playing.
