Looking for a holiday adventure that takes you and your family outdoors? Then take a hike to the Heard Natural Science Museum and Wildlife Sanctuary in McKinney. Their annual Holidays at the Heard event is a fun and unique experience for the whole family. During the weekend-long event, the museum opens up its gates at night time for guests to see the half-mile nature trail festively lit up and decorated. Visitors can take the opportunity to chat with Father Christmas and Mother Nature and maybe snag a photo with them too. Musicians will be on hand to provide holiday music at the Heard outdoor amphitheater and nothing complements the holiday atmosphere like hot cocoa and holiday treats.
