“The Simpsons” creator and executive, Matt Groening, met author and artist Lynda Barry at Evergreen State College in the 70s, and they’ve mutually inspired each other over four decades. Groening is a cartoonist, writer and producer responsible for “The Simpsons,” the longest running U.S. primetime television series in history. Barry is best known for “Ernie Pook’s Commek,” her weekly comic strip.

Their conversation “Love, Hate & Comics: The Friendship That Would Not Die” will be presented as part of the AT&T Performing Arts Center’s #hearhere speaker series.
