The Big Deal: Fort Worth Public Library 3rd Thursday Jazz Concert Featuring Paul Unger

by Felix Kalvesmaki 3 Jul 2019 1:30 AM

This year marks the 10th anniversary of 3rd Thursday Jazz presented by the Fort Worth Public Library. To celebrate, FWPL is hosting dozens of programs and performances throughout the city for adults and children.

The 3rd Thursday Jazz concert on July 18 at the Fort Worth Central Branch Library will feature bassist Paul Unger. Unger, Dennis Durick, Dave Monsch and Pete Clagett will pay tribute to Fort Worth native Ornette Coleman by playing songs from his landmark recording, The Shape Of Jazz To Come, as well as music from his later recordings.

The 3rd Thursday Jazz concerts are always free. However, if you win this Big Deal your 3rd Thursday Jazz experience on July 18th will include a pre-show meet & greet, four swag bags, four front-row reserved lounge seating for the show, plus a $50 gift certificate to Del Frisco’s Grille in Sundance Square.

Can’t get enough of live music? After entering this Big Deal, be sure to check out the accompanying Big Deal, tickets to Modern Music when the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth and Fortress Festival present LOMA.

Please note: Only Art&Seek newsletter subscribers are eligible for the Big Deal. If you are not already a subscriber, you’ll want to sign up here for the newsletter first before signing up below. Winners will be selected by random drawing on Friday and will be notified by email. If the winner does not respond within 24 hours after notification, or cannot make the specified performance date, or declines the prize, another winner will be randomly chosen.

UPDATE: We have our winners. Thanks for playing.
