The Big Deal: Fort Worth Opera Presents ‘Silent Night’

One of Fort Worth Opera’s upcoming productions in their 2014 Festival will be Kevin Puts and Mark Campbell’s Silent NightThe two-act opera is based on the 2005 French film, Joyeux Noel about the Christmas Eve truce between French, German and Scottish soldiers during WW 1. Silent Night had its world premiere in 2011 and the following year garnered first-time opera composer Puts a Pulitzer Prize. Check out the video above to hear a truly lovely piece from the Minnesota Opera premiere. The Fort Worth Opera will stage the regional premiere of Silent Night for two performances only.
