The Dallas Museum of Art’s Arts & Letters Live series will host Selected Shorts. Selected Shorts is one of the premier reading series which features screen and stage actors reading classics and new short fiction in front of a live audience. You can hear the award-winning radio series on KERA 90.1, every Saturday, at 9 p.m.
The theme for the live show at the DMA will be “For Better and for Worse: Tales of Marriage.” Michael Cerveris who starred in “Fun Home” and “Assassins on Broadway” will read “The Dummy” by Susan Sontag. Jane Kaczmarek who is best known for her role as Lois on “Malcolm in the Middle” will read “Hat Trick” by Edith Pearlman. Finally, Maria Tucci who has appeared on Broadway in productions of “Night of the Iguana,” “The Milk Train Doesn’t Stop Here Anymore,” “The Little Foxes,” and many others will read “The Courtship of Mr. Lyon” by Angela Carter.
