Mark and Rick Del Castillo thought they would put a CD together as a family project back in 2000. Since then the brothers’ band, Del Castillo, has gone on to tour with such bands as Styx, Los Lonely Boys, Los Lobos and Willie Nelson. Their music has made the soundtracks to films by Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino.
Del Castillo, with their fusion of Latin rhythms and rock, typify the cross cultural forces in music today. The band along with The South Austin Moonlighters will take the stage at the Kessler Theater on Jan. 10 and for this Big Deal we have two pairs of general admission tickets to give away.
