The Big Deal: Dallas Theater Center’s Gloria

by Gila Espinoza 7 Dec 2016 8:31 AM

In a world where your co-workers’ secrets could change your life . . .

Dallas Theater Center’s upcoming production is “Gloria.” The dark comedy was nominated for one of the best shows for 2015 and was a Finalist for the 2016 Pulitzer Prize. Not bad for the 31-year old playwright Branden Jacobs-Jenkins. The story is set in the cutthroat, high-stakes world of a New York-based magazine, where the cast of co-workers must fight to survive. When an average workday suddenly takes a shocking and unexpected turn, survival takes on a whole new meaning.  The biting satire runs through January 21, 2017, at the Wyly Theatre. Win this Big Deal and celebrate New Years Day with your favorite co-worker with a pair of tickets to the 7:30 p.m performance on January 1, 2017.

If during this time of year, you have visions of Sugar Plum fairies dancing in your head then be sure you take the time to check out our other Big Deals. Win tickets to see the charming holiday ballet “The Nutcracker” performed by Texas Ballet Theater  at Bass Performance Hall in Fort Worth, or to see the edgy, supercharged “The Hip Hop Nutcracker” at the Eisemann Center for Performing Arts in Richardson.
