The Dallas Theater Center will present the high-energy and spirited “In the Heights.” The 2008 original Broadway production was nominated for 14 Tony Awards and won four, including Best Musical. Not bad for a first time outing for its creator Lin-Manuel Miranda. The story takes place in New York’s Washington Heights neighborhood but it could be set in any community where occupants encounter long-standing traditions, youthful ambition, and the inevitable changes that come.
