The Big Deal: Dallas Symphony Orchestra’s President John F. Kennedy Memorial Concert

To commemorate the 50th anniversary of President Kennedy’s assassination, the Dallas Symphony Orchestra will pay tribute with this Memorial concert.  Conductor Jaap van Zweden will lead the DSO and guest violinist Joshua Bell in a program that includes Sibelius’ noble Violin Concerto, Beethoven’s epic Symphony No. 3, “Eroica,” and Darius Milhaud’s “Murder of a Great Chief of State.”  Also highlighted in the concert will be the world premiere of Conrad Tao’s commissioned work for the occasion “The World is Very Different Now.”  Art&Seek is pleased to award five Art&Seek newsletter subscribers a pair of tickets for the Nov. 24 performance at the Meyerson Symphony Center.
