The Dallas Symphony Orchestra will present Symphonie Fantastique and Brahms Violin Concerto for three performances, May 16-19 at Meyerson Symphony Center. Pablo Heras-Casado will conduct violinist Renaud Capuçon and orchestra for the passion-filled program. The invigorating Violin Concerto by Brahms introduces an evening with strong contrasts of obsession, ecstasy and desire, as the hallucinatory Symphonie fantastique by Berlioz conjures its spell.
