The Dallas Symphony Orchestra will perform Johannes Brahms only Violin Concerto Nov. 15 through Nov. 17 at the Meyerson Symphony Center. Watch the video above and you can hear DSO conductor Jaap van Zweden recount how challenging the piece was for him as a young performer. For these performances the technical demands of the piece will fall to established concert violinist, Arabella Steinbacher. In addition to Brahms’ romantic Violin Concerto, the concert will also feature Brahms’ Third Symphony and Benjamin Britten’s Sinfonia da Requiem.
