The Big Deal: Celebrate Nature Spring Festival at Heard Natural Science Museum

by Anne Bothwell 4 Apr 2012 7:46 AM

Everybody outside for this one. The Heard Natural Science Museum and Wildlife Sanctuary is planning a whole slew of family activities for its Celebrate Nature Spring Festival on April 14.

One Big Deal winner will receive four tickets for admission. NOTE: McKinney residents already get in free with a drivers license or utility bill with your address on it, so no need to enter this contest.

Concerts, animals, a Blackland Prairie Raptor Show,  butterfly garden, animal superheroes exhibits — yowza.

The Heard is also calling for North Texas’ most creative kids, in kindergarten through 5th grade, to come up with their most “g-littering” fashions created only from recyclable materials. These outfits will be showcased and judged during the Recycling Fashion Show at 1 p.m. Prizes will be awarded to the top three finalists.

Sounds like a fun day to me. If you agree, enter below to win. But first, make sure you’ve subscribed to the Art&Seek e-newsletter. Do it here. Only subscribers can win.

You might like to check out this week’s other Big Deals. Go here to enter for tickets to see guitarist Ricardo Cobo in concert in Dallas or Fort Worth, thanks to the guitar societies in both cities.  And go here to enter for a chance to see Leon Russell at the Granada.

Enter below for the Celebrate Nature Spring Festival.
UPDATE: Thanks, everyone – we have our winners.
